MY
APPROACH
The Relational Approach
Being relational means that I place a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship between us. I believe that a genuine, empathetic, and collaborative relationship is crucial for effective therapy. By building trust and understanding, we can work together to explore your concerns and achieve your goals.
What Does Being an Integrated Counsellor Mean?
As an Integrated Counsellor, I combine techniques from different therapeutic modalities to create a tailored approach for each client. Here’s a brief overview of the methods I use:
- Psychodynamic Therapy: This approach delves into your unconscious mind and early life experiences to uncover patterns and unresolved conflicts that may be impacting your current behaviour and emotions.
- Person-Centred Therapy: Focusing on creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment, this method encourages self-discovery and personal growth by valuing and understanding your perspective.
- Cognitive Therapy: This technique addresses negative thought patterns and behaviours by helping you develop healthier ways of thinking and responding to challenges.
- Existential Therapy: This approach explores fundamental questions about existence, helping you find meaning and purpose in your life.
