MY
APPROACH
A Relational Approach
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship we build together. I believe that feeling heard, understood and accepted can create the foundation for meaningful change.
I aim to provide a genuine, compassionate and collaborative space where you can talk openly about whatever is on your mind. By developing trust and understanding, we can work together to explore your experiences, gain insight and support you in moving forward.
What Does Being an Integrative Counsellor Mean?
As an Integrative Counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to provide support that is tailored to your individual needs. Rather than working in a one-size-fits-all way, I adapt how I work depending on what you bring to each session and what feels most helpful for you.
This means I may draw from different therapeutic approaches, including:
Psychodynamic Therapy – Exploring how past experiences and relationships may be influencing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours today.
Person-Centred Therapy – Providing a warm, accepting, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.
Cognitive Therapy – Helping you recognise unhelpful patterns of thinking and develop new ways of responding to challenges.
Existential Therapy – Exploring questions around meaning, purpose, identity, and the choices we make throughout life.
In practice, I often blend these approaches depending on what you need from each session.
